Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026. This policy is part of the eteWallet Terms & Conditions and explains what you may and may not do on the software platform.
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every personal and merchant account on eteWallet. It complements the Terms & Conditions. Breach may lead to suspension, restriction, or closure of the account.
2. Permitted use
- Use the Platform to fund a platform balance, submit transfer requests to supported destinations, move transferable balance between Platform accounts, collect via merchant tools where enabled, and — where enabled — spend via a virtual card under the card program rules.
- Provide accurate destination details and keep your verification data current.
- Protect credentials, devices, and one-time codes.
3. Prohibited use
You may not use the Platform — or allow others to use your account — for:
- Illegal activity, fraud, identity theft, or deceptive practices;
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or evasion of sanctions;
- Transactions with sanctioned persons, entities, or jurisdictions;
- Adult content, weapons, drugs, or other goods/services prohibited by law or by our processors’ rules;
- Circumventing KYC, limits, monitoring, velocity controls, or security features;
- Opening multiple accounts to evade restrictions or prior closures;
- Interfering with the Platform, scraping without permission, or reverse-engineering except as allowed by mandatory law;
- Misrepresenting the Company as a bank, EMI, Egyptian wallet operator, money-transfer agent, or card issuer.
4. Destination wallets and third parties
Egyptian mobile wallets and banks are independent of the Company. You must comply with their terms, limits, and KYC. Failed, reversed, or delayed sends caused by incorrect details, destination limits, or provider rules are your responsibility to the extent permitted by law.
5. Reporting and enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches, freeze or reverse loads where available, withhold pending transfer requests, and report activity to competent authorities or processors. Contact support@etewallet.com.
